Introduction
Ken started working on AMS at its very beginning at the NASA Johnson Space Center (JSC) in 1994. He was initially the Chief Engineer for AMS at Lockheed and eventually Project Manager before moving to NASA in 2003. Ken oversaw the development, integration, and testing of AMS-02 while on temporary assignments in England and at CERN from 2006 until 2010 and then integration with the Space Shuttle Endeavour for the launch of AMS-02 to ISS in May, 2011. He has been the AMS Project Manager for NASA since 2015. In 2017, he accepted a dual role of overseeing the AMS-02.1 development of the Upgraded Tracker Thermal Pump System (UTTPS) on a temporary assignment at RWTH Aachen University in Germany while still retaining the responsibilities of AMS Project Manager at JSC.
